Terms of Service

Last updated: August 30, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LINKNOWN (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

In short: LINKNOWN is provided "as is" on a best-effort basis. A free plan covers the core URL shortener, QR generator and one mini site. An optional paid Pro plan is billed through Paddle, renews automatically and can be cancelled anytime from your dashboard. Your first Pro purchase has a 14-day money-back guarantee, as set out in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for an account you confirm that you have read these Terms, that you have the authority to accept them for yourself or the organization you represent, and that you agree to be bound by them together with our Privacy Policy and Refund and Cancellation Policy, which form part of this agreement.

2. Who May Use LINKNOWN

You must be at least 13 years old to use LINKNOWN. If you are under the age of digital consent where you live (16 in the EU by default, though some member states allow as low as 13), you may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. You must also be able to form a binding contract and not be barred from using the Service under applicable sanctions or export-control laws.

3. The Service

LINKNOWN lets you shorten URLs, generate QR codes, and build simple mini sites, and shows you basic analytics for what you create. A free plan is available by default; an optional paid Pro plan raises limits and unlocks additional features. We are actively developing the Service and may add, change, or remove features over time.

4. Your Account

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Your security question and answer are used solely to verify your identity if you need to reset your password. Notify us promptly at the address in the Contact section if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use LINKNOWN to create, host, or distribute links, QR codes, or pages that:

  • are illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or infringe someone else's rights;
  • contain malware, phishing content, or attempt to bypass security measures;
  • constitute spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or link cloaking intended to evade platform or advertising review;
  • promote hate, harassment, or the sexual exploitation of minors;
  • probe, scan, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
  • resell or redistribute the Service, or use it to build a competing product, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the URLs, QR codes, and page content you submit. By using the Service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, redirect, and display that content solely to operate, secure, and improve LINKNOWN on your behalf. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you upload and for meeting any privacy obligations you owe to people who click your links or visit your pages.

7. Plans, Billing and Taxes

The free plan includes the core shortener and QR generator, one mini site, and the last 7 days of analytics. The paid Pro plan unlocks unlimited mini sites, full analytics history and export, and additional customization options.

  • Billing: Pro is billed in advance for the interval you choose at checkout, monthly or annual, and renews automatically at the then-current price until cancelled.
  • Payment processor: payments are collected by Paddle.com Market Limited, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles the transaction, issues the invoice, collects any applicable sales tax or VAT, and appears as the seller on your card statement.
  • Currency: Pro is priced in a single currency shown at checkout; your bank may apply a conversion fee.
  • Price changes: if we change the Pro price, the new price applies only from your next renewal, and we will give at least 30 days' notice by the contact email on your account.
  • Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries it over a short grace period; if it still cannot be collected, the account moves back to the free plan and your data is not deleted.
  • Cancellations and refunds: you can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Cancellation, renewal, and refund terms, including a 14-day money-back guarantee on a first Pro purchase, are set out in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

8. Service Availability

LINKNOWN is operated on a best-effort basis and provided "as is". We aim for high availability of the redirect service, the dashboard, and public mini sites, but we do not offer a contractual service-level guarantee or automatic service credits on any plan.

  • Monitoring: the production service is monitored and error alerts reach the operator quickly, typically within minutes of a new failure.
  • Response: for an outage that makes redirects or the dashboard unusable, we aim to begin work promptly after detection and restore service as soon as practical.
  • Maintenance: planned work that needs downtime is normally done during low-traffic hours.
  • Third-party dependencies: some outages originate with providers we rely on, such as Vercel, our server host, or MongoDB Atlas. In those cases our restoration time depends on the provider.

9. Analytics

The analytics LINKNOWN shows you, such as click counts, approximate visitor counts, a mobile-versus-desktop split, page views, and link taps, are estimates produced from server-side counters and a one-way hash of each visitor's IP address and browser. They are a rough guide, not a precise measurement, and should not be relied on as the sole basis for a business or legal decision.

10. Third-Party Services

LINKNOWN relies on third-party providers to function, including Vercel for the web front end, a server host for the API, MongoDB Atlas for the database, Cloudflare Turnstile for the bot check on the redirect page, and Google Analytics for aggregate usage. The Privacy Policy lists them. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms where they apply.

11. Intellectual Property

The LINKNOWN name, logo, and underlying software are the property of İlkay Bora and any licensors. These Terms grant you no rights in our trademarks or branding beyond what is needed to use the Service as intended. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that analytics will be accurate or complete.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LINKNOWN is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. For the free plan, our aggregate liability is limited to EUR 50. For the Pro plan, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

14. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time; cancelling a Pro plan is covered by the Refund and Cancellation Policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that materially breaches these Terms, in particular the Acceptable Use section, that exposes the Service or its users to security or legal risk, or where required by law. Where practical we will give notice and a chance to fix the issue first. Deleting your account anonymizes your profile; short links and QR codes you created may keep working but are no longer linked to identifying account data.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For changes that materially reduce your rights or increase your obligations, we will give notice by the contact email on your account or an in-dashboard notice before they take effect, unless a change is required sooner by law or to address a security risk. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and continued use after a change takes effect means you accept it.

16. Governing Law and Contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction. If you use the Service as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-law provisions of the country where you live. LINKNOWN is operated from Türkiye by İlkay Bora; Paddle.com Market Limited acts as Merchant of Record for the Pro plan. For any question, including data-protection requests, contact ilkay.bora@outlook.com.

This is a plain-language agreement, not a substitute for legal advice. Where any part conflicts with a mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection law that applies to you, that law prevails.
